Television presenter Jason Manford has announced he is quitting The One Show.
The 29-year-old said he is stepping down as host of the BBC show to focus on his family.
His decision follows revelations that he swapped steamy Twitter messages with a number of girls behind his wife's back.
Speaking to the Sun, Manford said: "There were ten or 12 people flirting and then with a few it went over the line.
"We would start off flirty, then innuendo and then a bit saucy. They were the moments I thought, 'I shouldn't be saying that'.
"It was just nice to have some interaction I suppose. But the next morning I would wake up and think 'oh my god'."
The comedian said he has agreed with his wife that their relationship is worth fighting for.
"The mad thing was, when I was chatting there were messages I knew went too far. They weren't just flirty. I just didn't think. I can't even describe it. It's such a weird world online. People throw themselves at you," he added.
Manford is not the first television presenter to get caught up in something like this - Family Fortunes host Vernon Kay's marriage was rocked last year after it emerged that he had been sending inappropriate text messages to a young glamour model.
