Cameron Jerome scores twice as Birmingham beat Avram Grant's Portsmouth 2-1 at Fratton Park in Premier League

Birmingham gained a measure of revenge for last Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final defeat and gave Portsmouth a reality check at the same time after a Cameron Jerome brace was enough to take the points at Fratton Park.
Pompey had been buoyed by their 2-0 win over Alex McLeish's side at the weekend but Jerome, set up both times by striker partner Christian Benitez, struck twice in the first half as the away side took control.
Avram Grant's side, which became the first Premier League team to enter administration earlier this month, gained a late consolation through Nwankwo Kanu after the Nigerian headed home Jamie O'Hara's cross.
The win moves Birmingham above Everton to eighth on 43 points while Portsmouth are still rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table on 19 points ahead of an expected nine-point deduction for going into administration.
